Overview
The WDC NETWORK OF CITIES MEETING is a forum bringing together municipal representatives from previously designated World Design Capital cities.
Hosted by WDO, and World Design Capital city - Lille Metropole in 2020 - the this event aims to highlight the success of WDC's legacy programs and provide World Design Capital nominated cities with the opportunity to come together and network for collaborative action.
As cities face the challenges of rapid urbanization, economic disparities, pressure for sustainable reforms and, more recently, a global pandemic and economic crisis, the WDC NETWORK OF CITIES MEETING provides an international platform for mayors and key urban development decision-makers to connect and exchange ideas on the role of design-based solutions in building sustainable, just and prosperous cities.
